July Faves!

Ahh its nearly august! How quick has this month gone in fact this year. So I am saving up a bit because I having a trip to Leeds in a few days. This month has also been my mams birthday and my boyfriends birthday so I haven't bought that much this month but I still have a few favorites I'd like to 'rave' about.

Mac lipstick in Hue, Topshop brow pencil, Mac paint pot in soft ochre, Benefit theyre real mascara

First of all the MAC lipstick, this is in the colour hue. I love this colour since its like a natural nudey pinky that blends into my lips. It looks so natural which is what I am normally looking for most days. I have bought this twice now I love it so much and it was actually my mam who got me into this colour. So I did pay I think £16.00 pound for this but I do believe the prices have gone up. (oh no) I've wore this so much this month because of the heat I haven't really been wearing much make up so my natural look has been in full swing and this goes so well with it. My topshop brow pencil in the colour vicious circle was bought without reading anything about it and a total wild card. (which I don't do very often) I actually really love the double end which was on of the reasons I bought it. I normally fill in my brows with this when I am either just having a lazy day or going to work and don't want them to be to bold. Its a really handy tool to carry around and it blends so well. This was £6.00 and I would say a great buy and not that expensive. Next up the MAC paint pot in soft ochre, before I bought this I read so many reviews and researched it so much. I didn't know whether I would use it or not but I am glad I did buy it. I don't think I could be without it now. I use this as a primer and it works so well it doesn't crease my eye shadow and it lasts the majority of the day. I do wear this on its own as well if I am again having a natural day, although it probably looks like there isn't anything on my eyes it just gives me that little boost. I would be tempted to get another one of these in a darker colour to play about with, it is defiantly a must have eye product. This was £15.00 so pricey but it will last a long time if you look after it! Finally once again Benefit they're real mascara. I have raved so much about this mascara these past few weeks and it needs it! It is a great product and I love the volume and length it gives to my lashes. It fills them out and it gives them such a nice look to them. Go and check my review out on this product, I would go as far to say this could be one of my holy grail mascaras! It is amazing and one of the best I have tried. I paid around £16.50 on a deal a month back. (Normally £19.50)

I love all of these products and I would recommend them to anyone, although some are a bit pricey it will definitely be worth the buy.

Review: They're real benefit mascara

Hi,
so i blogged about these a few weeks back and after trying it out nearly everyday since I can finally blog about how crazy I am over this mascara.

I literally love everything about this mascara which I can't be said for any other mascara I own. At first I was abit unsure of it but as soon as I got the hang of using it and how it works I fell in love. The brush on this mascara is long and thin with really short stems as you can see./I love this but I know some people prefer a thicker one. I think this looks neat and tidy and it glides on so well! It doesn't state that this is waterproof so I can't comment on that but I literally put this on at 7 in the morning and I am still scraping it off at 10 at night. I have never found a mascara that stays on so well. The blackness that it gives doesn't fade through the day like other mascaras.

Now this is generally what it looks like, although the only makeup I have on is the mascara. I would go as far as to say it fills your lashes out but of course it doesn't make them longer since it isn't a magic potion. They do generally look longer. This mascara doesn't clump onto your lashes it does flow through them which is brilliant. It easily glides onto your bottom lashes as well which is always a bonus. I do have long and thick lashes which is always a bonus so I am not sure how this would be with someone who has thin lashes. I would recommend this to anyone who is asking for a high end mascara! This is the only high end mascara I would buy since most mascaras are the same where ever you buy them from. I would still only keep this for 3-4 months purely because if i use anything old it makes my eyes flare up and its not recommended that you do. This is £19.50 which is expensive for a mascara but I would totally go for it. I got this when there were vat free prices on so I think I paid around £16:50.

My first experience of Smashbox

Smashbox is a new member to the UK boots and today I had my first encounter with them. At first I thought they were just another company but when looking more into them and reading more reviews of their products I decided to try out a few of their products. I have read a lot of reviews on the smashbox photo finish primer and I am in desperate need for a high brand primer. So for my skin type the lovely women suggested the smashbox photo finish hydrating primer. They also suggested the normal primer but i was more swayed towards a more hydrating primer because my skin is feeling dry and tight at the minute. There was some sort of deal on, if i bought two products i got double points in boots so i thought why not and i got the smashbox brow tech to go. I haven't tried either products yet since i literally just bought them today. I have to say the customer service was great and there is even an offer for a free make over which I think i may have to take up!

I am very excited to try these products out and will most likely review them. I am very impressed with smashbox so far what are your thoughts on them? Have you got any good products from them?

MUA vs MAC blusher madness!

I am totally obsessed with blusher at the minute i love wearing just blusher on a summer day after a good moisturize but i just love finding a good blusher.

When i found MUA's new blusher range for just £1.00 i was so excited to try it out. I bought a few at once. Today I am testing out the colour bon bon. I'm going to compare this blusher to the MAC blusher Coppertone which is £18.00.

First, MUA bon bon blusher, its a powder blush and for the price it is very pigmented and just over a nice skin finish blusher. It is a pinkish blusher and it sorta blends with your skin but with a few layers it comes out a  nice baby-doll finish. I love wearing this when I am feeling girly. It is slightly over powdery which i know sounds straight. You have to really shake this off the brush before you apply because it can go powdery on your cheeks but other than that it is great quality. I do believe all of MUA products are really nice and the quality is phenomenal for the price which i know makes me a very happy person!
The colour name goes hand in hand with the colour of a strawberry bon bon. I would recommend buying this blusher to anyone and of course there are a few other colours, for the price I'd recommend getting your hands on any colour they have in stock.

Moving onto this MAC blusher, I have to admit I am a huge fan of MA
C blushers and this coppertone colour is right up my street. I don't have a favorite blusher colour I tend to wake up on a morning i decide that day whether I am going to go for a pinky, bronzey, or peachy cheek colour. I do wear this a lot it comes out with a bronzey tone through then a sorta orangey/peachy tone to it. This gives a lovely effect on my cheek which I am totally loving at the minute. Sometime I do feel this takes a few layers on the cheek to actually give off a nice affect. I do really like this blusher though, and it is probably my favorite powder blusher. I've had this blusher since February 2013 and it is just starting to show I've used it.

MAC coppertone

MUA bon bon
As you can see MUA is a similar pinkish tone to my skin which makes it more work to get this colour to stand off. Although it is a very natural finish to my skin when only applied lightly. The thing I like most about both of these blushers is that they both give a matte finish and in fact the MAC blusher is from the matte range. I do like this finish to my skin. Another thing I would pick up on is that the MUA blusher is very powdery to the point it can sometimes sit on your skin if you don't blow/shake it off the brush.
Overall they are both nice blushers and since there is a £17.00 pound difference i feel like they both have good points. I would personally use the MAC blusher more just because it does give an overall better finish in my eyes and it is much easier to apply. The MUA is a great handbag blusher to use to top up threw the day and to take on trips away and nights out because it is so cheap. I really do recommend MUA products for the price they are real good products! :)

June Faves!

I realize I am slightly late but hey never mind!

I could give a long list of products but I've only chosen a few which have really worked well with me this month! They are all beauty products because at the minute I am trying out a few moisturizers etc since i can't find the right one for my skin.

So this month's favorites: MUA blush in candyfloss, Bourjois Liner Feutre in black, M.A.C Studio finish concealer in NC15 and benefit brow shaping kit in light.

This MUA blusher has made it into my favorites because of the price and how pigmented it is. I think this is amazing quality for £1.00, I have two colors and i am probably gonna get the rest when they are in stock at my local superdrug. It glides onto my cheeks perfectly and i hardly use any because of how pigmented it is. This product is worth the hype!

I purchased this in June and have used it nearly everyday I have wore eye makeup. (I have hayfeaver so find it hard to wear eye makeup on sunny days) I only use it for my upper eyelids but recently that's the only place I am wearing eyeliner at the minute. It is a thin line that starts out but i find it easy to apply and i find it easy to keep both eyes symmetrical. I really love this eyeliner it's a lot of fun to use and it works so well with me. I love wearing eyeliner on the top lids it gives such a lift to your eyes although I am still sorta new to wearing it this way. This product is £6.99 and I would say it will most likely last a while.

Sorry about this picture I have used this a lot so its a bit dirty. This M.A.C studio finish concealer works wonders on my skin. I've had this about 3months maybe longer and it is literally lasting ageds although I think hitting the pan will be here soon. I do use this everyday sometimes more than once. It works really well with blemishes and redness although I don't feel it does much for dark circles under my eyes but i do have bad dark circles. I apply this with my fingers and it is totally great, I have also tried using a brush which works fine too! This was £15.00 and i will definitely be buying it again.

I am really impressed with this brow kit from benefit. I realize the picture is crap sorry about that! I love the brushes and plucker you get with it and I am using these brushes currently. I only bought this a few weeks ago but I am already using it everyday and it literally goes everywhere with me. I love the wax it really makes my brows look perfect. I am tempted to buy some full size brushes to use with it. This product has made me love my brows so much more. It comes in at £23.50 but i would definitely recommend this product. The benefit lady said it would last around 9 months maybe longer!

Hope you enjoyed ready feel free to comment and follow me! :)

My first Benefit products!

For while I have been researching benefit products because I've never tried anything from them before. So I decided to go for the they're real beyond mascara. There is a lot of talk about this mascara and its all good so I thought why not. I also picked up the brow shaping kit.

I am so excited to try these products because there is so much hype about benefit and I am hoping I really love them. So far ive tried them a couple of times and so far so good! Although I am still getting used to the brow shaping kit! I am kinda knew to the whole eyebrow shaping on your own thing but so far it is all going good and the little instructions inside are very helpful. This brow pack also comes with two brushes (only mini's) and mini tweezers.

I've tried the mascara a few times now and it gives your lashes a good coverage and length. The few times ive wore them it hasn't stayed on as long as I had hoped but that might just be me. I am pleased with this at the minute and i will review this product soon. I hope there is a lot more benefit products to come into my make up bag!
