Review: MAC blusher

This blusher is amazing! I wanted to share it with you all cause it is just such a lovely colour!
Powder blush in Melba matte

So I've had this about a month now, and I have wore it so much! This is my second blusher from MAC and i don't think I would ever go anywhere for a blusher now. They are by far my favorite brand for a nice pigmented colour. I went to Leeds at the beginning of august and went into Harvey Nics! This blusher was picked up from there.

Blushers from Mac are very pigmented which is the main reason why I love them so much! One swipe with your brush and there is enough powder on there to cover your cheek bone. I choose this colour because I never go for peachy looking blushers, recently I have seen a lot of you bloggers rave about a nice peachy colour so I was desperate to try it out. I saw this on the stand and it stood out to me. Since I have been wearing it so many people have commented on my cheeks and how natural they look. So when I am wearing this i normally highlight the tops of my cheek bones. I then add this onto my cheek bones and go up to my brow bone. I sometimes apply just a slight bit but I do tend to give it a bit more colour. I then blend it out with my stippling brush if i feel it is necessary. It is also a matte colour which is right up my street. I am going off glittery colours at the minute.

You can see by this swatch it is very peachy but on a pale skin it works wonders for your complexion and i just thing it is such a pretty and skin loving colour. For me this lasts all day but it can sometimes fade slightly if I don't have a primer or a setting powder on. I would recommend this to everyone and there is so many shades to choose from. I would really love to try a pro long wear blush. In my experience the blushers do generally last a long time so although at £18.00 it is expensive if you use it wisely then it is worth the money.

Such a good blusher to try out so if you are thinking about it i hope this has persuaded you!

Review: Benefit boi-ing concealer

I am back in bussiness after nearly two weeks off blogging. Ive been really poorly these last two weeks and apart from feeling very sorry for myself I haven't had the energy to blog! Ive had tonsiltius which I wouldnt wish on anyone. Anyway I am back now and hopefully won't be poorly for a while. Ive got a review for you guys about the boi-ing concealer.

so i got this concealer at the end of july because i have really bad dark circles and every hightstreet and high end concealer i have tried just doesnt work. So after talking in bloggers chat i got this concealer recommended to me. I went into benefit which
is my favouite company at the minute. The lady tried this on me and it worked a treated! I also got some sample eye cream which is supposed to decrease dark circles. I have been lazy and not tried it yet but i will get round to it. So onto the concealer.

I got this is the 01 which is the lightest. although i am pale i know some of you are even paler and might not be able to wear this which is a bit of a downside. A lot of people who have reviewed this said it is thick and clumpy when applied. I personally don't find this at all. I apply my primer and then before my foundation I apply this to my dark circles. I use my finger to apply and blend and it really works. I then go over with my foundation using the real techniques stippling brush which normally covers anything else. This also helps to blend all the products together.

As you can see in this before and after photo, this concealer hides any imperfection and it practically covers my scar. I think it gives a flawless finish and it is really worth the money. This comes in at £17.50 which i think for a pot of concealer is expensive. I do think its worth the money and i will be repurchasing thos concealer instead of my mac studio finish concealer. As you can see this is a pastey mix for a concealer, i personally like this mix better than a liquid concealer as i feel it hides more imperfections and it is easily blended but it is just personal perference. I am still on the hunt for a cheaper concealer but thats for a different post. If you have dark circles you should totally try this it really does the trick!

Thanks for reading and i hope you all understand why i haven't posted for a while. I'm leaving you a picture of what my favorite cat thinks of this concealer

Most loved app of the week

Hi guys I have tonsilitus at the moment so I haven't been blogging much. This one is from the mobile blogger app which I don't get along with very well. I don't have the energy to sit at my laptop so I am just giving you a little favourite app I am loving!

So I always knew about the site etsy but until I found the mobile app I never really went on it. I'm sure many of you use this website to buy all kinds of things. The mobile verison gives you catergories which you swipe along for a different screen.

So if you make an account with them you can get your own activity log and if you like anything while browsing you are able to press the heart and it comes up on your activity. This can also be seen by oeople who follow you. This website sells anything you could think of! As you can see i am looking for an infinity bracelet. If i am after something that you won't find in the shops or i want it unique to everyone else this is where i come. Although a lot of things are reasonably priced there are still some things that are expensive (makeup storage) Its a site i would recommend to you beauty/fashion/lifestyle lovers. If you are anything like me you will fall inlove with everything on this site. So many things to find which I probably haven't even came across yet.

Thanks for reading sorry its short and sweet!

Review, smashbox photo finish primer

I did so much research before buying this primer. Everyone was giving it so much hype so I decided to go for it.

I was all set on getting the normal photo finish
primer but the lovely lady who served me explained the photo finish hydrating primer was best for my skin type which is dry.
Id say I've had this primer a month now and I have loved this product. I use a pea size amount and I put it on the back off my hand then apply it just using my fingers. On application it glides on with a silicon base. I like this type of primer because I also feel as well priming my face it is giving me the moisture i need. On application it does come out clear although it comes out the tube blue.

This is around the amount i use each morning, i apply it around my t-zone, chin and under my eyes. It sinks into your skin almost instantly which is great when you are in a rush like me most mornings haha! This is one of the best primers I have ever tried, it does what it is supposed to do, it hydrates my skin all day and it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and smooth and it keeps my makeup put all day. I do apply concealer throughout the day if I have any breakouts but this is just me personally it does generally keep the makeup on I am just slightly obsessed! I hardly ever get spots so when I do its a massive deal. Now i realize not all of you have dry skin and your skin type is more than likely totally different to mine. Smashbox do a range of primers from anti redness to oil free! I have never tried any other (obviously) but I can suggest having a go of them since this primer is amazing and does everything I would like a primer to do. I paid £28.00 for this full size primer but they do travel size primers in every type for £12.50. This is a great idea for someone who is new and wanting to try this.

I would recommend this to anyone it is perfect for everyday use! I would use it under my foundation no matter what I was getting up to that day! By using only a pea size amount the primer is going to last a while which makes up for the price a little. I would definitely re-purchase this product.

My make-up story

I was stuck in traffic all the way home, i pre-occupied my mind by thinking about what sort of different posts I could put up! I thought about why not a history on how I have got on with make-up over my teenage years and what got me so into make-up so much to start a blog.

I probably started wearing make-up around the age of 13 just a little bit mascara and blusher. I was more into nail varnish at this time and my school was always telling me to take it off. One of the main reasons I started wearing make-up at this age was because everyone else around me was. I thought it was a grown up thing to do not really understanding make-up at all. As I got old I'd say around 15 was when i started doing a full face of make-up so to speak. One of my first foundations was a rimmel which by all means made me look orange. I had no idea what a colour match was and I was wearing a foundation that totally didn't match my skin type. Looking back I looked horrible. So I think my mam started to pick up this wasn't the look for me and decided to take me to get some make-up. A lot of my friends were using dream matte mousse. I got the perfect colour and I started learning how to blend etc etc. I suppose I started exploring with make-up but I only ever got make-up from drugstores. I also got the powder from maybelline which matched this. I used these until i was 17. I at 15 i also started to wear eyeliner. Id wear this under my eyes and I have done this until about 5months ago.
So this is the look I'd gone for starting at around 15/16 and it stayed like this for a long time with a few adjustments. I was very bland I never really wore blushers I owned probably none until I was about 16. Another thing I never wore mascara hardlys I didn't feel it ever made a difference to my eyes and I have tried a lot. In this picture I don't think I have any mascara on.I also never did much with my eyebrows they were so bad I dont know what was going on in my head! So when my 17 birthday past a few months after I pasted my driving test which led to me getting a little job in a coffee shop where I still am now! This started giving me extra cash etc etc. I started looking at you tube videos around the summer of 2012. I did this for a good while and this is when I started understanding the concept of make-up and it really made me love it. I then started looking at blogs and reading what everyone had to say. For my birthday my mam bought me my first high end make-up and since then my full make-up bag has changed. I started getting into high end brands mainly because I could afford them. I read up on a lot of products before buying them and i just started to explore and play about with make-up. I still haven't forgotten about drugstore make-up because there is a lot of good make-up still to have from there but I understand make-up and it is such an amazing thing.

It was only this year in may when I made my first blog which is this one. I am loving every second of it. It has given me confidence to try new things and I love the community that goes along with it!
This is me today!
