Would you rather beauty tag!

Hannah has just posted this tag and tagged all of her followers so I am going to give it ago!
I tag all my followers!

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?
I would rather lose my eye-shadow palettes because I don't use them everyday and I could live without eye-shadow. Although they probably cost more I dunno eye shadow isn't a main application product to me.

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Never be able to cut it again! I hate myself with short hair mainly because when I was little my mam gave me a bob and in all the photos I look like a rag doll with pony tails and pig tails on the TOP of my head!

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I coral cheek I feel it suits my personality and my hair more than a pink blusher.

4. If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
This is tricky because I love buying both! I would have to say make up because I would literally by a ton of stuff that is high end and then try it all out.

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Probably eyeliner as lipstick purely because you can get eyeliner in many different colours and it wouldn't look as bad as lipstick on your eyes.

6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
I've never been to a sephora shop mainly because I live in the UK so it would have to be MAC

7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
I would probably say one lip colour mainly because I would choose a very neutral colour.

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Summer clothes in winter you can layer up summer clothes.

9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Probably bright nails I love bold nails.

10. Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
Lip product its all about the eyes!

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
Probably a messy bun.

12. Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
I really don't like lipgloss it so sticky and ewy. So it would have to be lipgloss. I love painting my nails.

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
I would have to sharpie them on haha Although it sounds terrible I couldn't live without eyebrows.

14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Nail polish. I love make-up to much. I don't wear nail polish that much because of my job.

Thanks for reading I hope you enjoyed it and feel free to take this and answer them yourself, it been fun answering them haha.

Loreal Micellar Solution

Right I realise I haven't posted in a while. I am so sorry, I went away for a few days and I've basically been a bad blogger. Anyway I am now back at university and I just want to let you know I will be blogging twice a week now. I am also going to try and do a few lifestyle/sociology posts so I hope you will enjoy that. I've just got a new camera and I am so excited about it I have literally got photos for the next year of blogging. I am still learning how to use all the features so I am sorry about the quality in the next few weeks.

Anyway I bought this last month because it was on sale in a supermarket and I have seen it all over the internet. I got it not thinking much of it but this stuff has changed my life totally. So basically this is a little description of it off superdrug "Used by make-up artists, the 'micellar' solution swiftly removes all traces of make-up and acts like a purifying magnet on skin's surface to capture and draw out excess oil and impurities. So gentle, skin feels soothed and toned. Hypo-allergenic. No Alcohol. Dermatologically tested."
So this is more of a toner/ make-up remover than a cleanser. I personally take the thick of my make-up off with a make-up wipe and then use this over the top. It gets into your pores and removers any trace of make-up which I love. One problem I find with it is it does dry my skin out so I use a cleanser straight after it has dried up then add moisturiser. This leaves my skin feeling wonderful I love using it. One thing I love about this product is how I could literally walk out the door without any make-up seems to get rid off and redness or impurities. Now I know a lot of products claim to do this but this one actually does. I find applying it on a night and then waking up on a morning my skin is very clear. It doesn't get rid of spots which is understandable.

Does it do what it says on the bottle?
I would say yes to all three points. Although I don't remove a full face off make-up with it, the bits that are left are definitely removed by this and it unclogs any pores. I have said earlier it does even out your skin tone and leave your face feeling fresh and toned. I love this stuff it really does work. Now it is suitable for sensitive skin which is a thumbs up from me but you do need to moisturise after as it does make your skin feel a bit dry and tight. It does state that it is suitable for eyes but I do have a little insecurity about using liquids to remove eye make-up. I always use make-up wipes as it feels safer. Yes I am weird.
Now my friend also said this is alot like bioderma, I personally have never tried it but she literally swears by it. You can get it here but it is a lot cheaper in France. So yea let me know what you think of it! I love it

Thanks for reading.

NIVEA moisturizing day cream

I have totally fallen in love with this product. I am constantly trying out new moisturizers to find the 'perfect' one. I don't think I ever will find the perfect moisturizer but this comes pretty close.

So this moisturizer is part of Nivea's daily essentials range. I love this range it has everything you need and Nivea really gets on with my skin. I think Nivea is such a good brand and it is highly underrated. I haven't found a high end brand as good as Nivea yet. This product is aimed at dry and sensitive skin which ticks all the boxes for me, I personally would always read whats in a moisturizer no matter what brand it is. This one has some lovely ingredients in like almond oil keeps your skin feeling fresh and moist. This moisturizer also has an SPF 15 which is great throughout winter as you don't need to much of a high one but you do need something to protect your face.  Although it is a day cream I do apply this morning and night, unfortunately it is only 50ml so it seems to be disappearing faster than I would like.

So i obviously apply more than this but this was just a little example of what it looks like out of the tube. I'm sure you have all seen a moisturizer before its pretty standard. Before applying this i use makeup wipe to take makeup off I then use the Loreal micellar solution and then a cleanser. I then apply this and it really smooths my face out and leaves it feeling soft and ready to either get into bed or start my daily makeup routine. This moisturizer really does what it says on the packaging. I have loved using this and I would buy it again no problem.
This was only £3.00 and the rest of the daily essential range is this cheap too! It is such an amazing price for a whole range of skincare products. They really look after your skin and for such a cheap price it works perfectly.

Thanks for reading.

Brush wishlist

So since I have only started building up my make-up collection I have only just started understanding how much a brush matters. I have so many crappy brushes from online and they do nothing. So probably the past 3 months I have been searching and searching for the best brushes so I could get them for my birthday. I honestly believe the real technique brushes are up there! So I have had the core collection for a while now and I love it! Here is my brush lust list!

Real techniques:

Blush brush
Real Techniques Blush Brush

Powder brush

Real Techniques Powder Brush

Starter kit
Real Techniques Your Eyes/Enhanced Starter Set
Expert face brush

Samantha Chapman Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

I don't want to add prices because they can vary depending on where you buy them but generally they are all around the £10.00 mark some are £2/£3 pound higher or lower. They all have such amazing reviews and they really help give that professional finish. I would also really like to pick up some crown brushes but I haven't read enough reviews about them to go ahead and buy any yet!
(None of these pictures are mine I take no credit for them)

Thanks for reading and if you have any brush recommendations send them this way!

August faves!!

Hey, so this month I have been so busy and poorly so I have hardly had time to blog,
So i go back to uni in 2 weeks and i am going to start getting into a blogging routine. I have started scheduling a few posts already. I will probably be blogging twice a week.

Anyway getting into august. I have two beauty products a perfume and a moisturizer. I haven't really bought anything this month, I've tried to save a bit of money cause I have a few birthdays coming up and it's also my birthday in October so I have been writing a list instead.

Jimmy Choo, Nivea day cream, Smashbox brow tech to go. Mac blusher

So at the end of July I bought the Jimmy Choo perfume because I was really in the mood to try something different. I walked into Debenhams and tried so many fragrances. This was the only that stood out to me and didn't blend into every other one. It has such fruity berry smell. I feel like it is different to any other perfume and it stands out which always appeals to me. I have been wearing this nearly everyday and it just makes me feel so fresh! Such a nice perfume! This was £39.00 but well worth the money.

I have just recently got this Nivea day cream at the beginning of the month. I really needed a new moisturizer because the simple products started giving me break outs. (mad because it is simple) My skin really doesn't get on with many skincare products but there are a few I always go back to which are things like Nivea, Garnier and loreal paris. I tend to stick with drugstore brands because they have always worked for me. So i saw this last time I was in boots and I really wanted to try it. I love it, it gives my face such a lift on a morning. it blends in and dries almost instantly which is fab when you are in a rush on a morning. Its such a nice product and for £3.19 it is such a steal.

I have had the brow tech to go for about 3 or 4 months now! I couldn't use anything else now. It perfectly shapes with your eyebrows. It doesn't come out to dark or light it is literally the perfect match for my brow colour. It keeps the shape and the gel on the other end keeps your hair is place all day. It stays on so well throughout the day and doesn't fade. It wipes off easy. It is so easy to apply you just basically stroke it over your brows and you are ready to go. I love the fact it has a little gel on the end. This comes in at £19.00, this is expensive but I love it so much I don't think i would get anything else now.

Lastly I bought this Mac blusher at the beginning of August while in Leeds. I needed to by something from Harvey Nics so a much wanted peachy mac blusher was purchased. This blusher is in the colour Melba in a matte finish. It is such a summery colour but I think I will take it through to autumn with a bit of bronzer threw it. This blusher stays on all day and is just such a cute colour which goes really well with my recent hair change. I got brown on the top up to about my eyebrows and kept the rest blonde which my hair already was. Although it makes me look paler adding more blusher makes my cheeks look brighter and it is making me learn to contour better. This was £18.00 but all my mac blushers last years so I happy to pay that price.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it. Hope this persuaded you to buy these products if you are interested. Feel free to comment.

Thanks

TAG: how much is my face

I was tagged to do this post by the lovely Hannah Hepton, its all about calculating how much all the makeup I wear on a daily basis actually is. I am scared to see how much it all is and it probably won't be worth it at all. I separated it into face, eyes, cheek and lips. I wear all of this nearly everyday i might swap a very products around now and again but in a nut shell this is what i wear. I just want to say although i have a decent size make-up collection i didn't buy this all at once so please don't go out buy everything together! I bought all of this with my own money :)

MAC mineralize foundation - £27.00
MAC mineralize skinfinish - £22.00
Boi-ing benefit concealer - £17.50
Stippling brush, real techniques - £11.99
Real techniques core collection - £21.99
(only adding the brushes once but they are used throughout my daily make-up routine)

= £100.48

Smashbox brow tech to go - £19.00
Topshop brow pencil - £6.00
Revlon colorstay eye pencil - £6.29
bourjois liner feutre - £5.99
Urban decay naked 2 palette - £36.00

= £73.28

MAC powder blush - £18.00 x2

= £36.00

Baby lips - £2.99
Kate Moss lipstick - £5.49
The little green tin - 99p

= £9.47

In total the cost of my daily makeup look is £219.23
I am shocked by the price of my 'face' section. This probably won't make a difference to what i buy. I always full review things before i buy anything and I love everything I use.
