Barry M Gelly Nail Polish

I've recently started getting into nail polish again, I went through a stage of never painting my nails. After recently having a haul on every nail polish brand in the high street I have found one of my favorites.

The hi shine gelly really does do what it says on the tin. I love when you find something that actually does what it says. It does suggest a base coat underneath which I believe is to protect your nails and it also gives it a boost to help it stay on longer.

So when buying this i thought id go for a 'out there' color because why not! I've got so many pastel summery colors. This color is amazing and it would suit a lot of people along with a red lipstick. So i put a base coat on just to protect my nail etc. I then applied this, the brush is wide and goes on really well. I did one coat and a few touch ups (nail polish isn't my favorite product to apply). This was amazing just with one coat and as you can see it comes up shiney and full of color, i suppose like a 'gelly' affect.

I got this in the color blood orange which is a a nice bright red. The price is fantastic for the product. It was £3.99 which is slightly more expensive than other Barry M nail polishes but it is definitely the best one I have tried. I would recommend this to anyone,

Wish list!

So every month I normally make a little 'wish list' on what products I would most like to try or possibly just repurchase.
This month I have saw a lot of reviews about benefit products and I actually don't own anything from there. So a few of their products are on my wishlist.
Some of the things I would love to try is:

Add caption
Benefit 'they're real' mascara (£19:50) I have heard such good things about this mascara.

I would love to try these to products together, The stay flawless primer (£24:50) and the hello flawless foundation (£25:50). As they are supposed to be used together i'm sure they would work great.

M.A.C is probably my go to place for anything. I love their products and they always satisfy me. I would really love this temperature is rising lipstick in the colour caliente. It looks so flawless and such a summery colour! (£15:50)

I'd love to try a revlon lip butter but everytime I go to pick a colour they have all melted into the bottom so this is once again on my wish list. (£7.99)

So yea although these are all high end and expensive this is about it this month or at the moment anyway! Before I buy anything I always ready a lot of reviews on them by a lot of different bloggers! :) This makes me sure I am going to like the product.

Review: MAC mineralize skin finish natural

This product is absolute perfection to me! I think every girl should own this powder.

So I have used this powder for about a year now and it is my all time favorite. I've tried my fair share of powders and I don't feel any of them beat this. Although i do use the Rimmel London stay matte powder for work days, but anyway the skin finish literally does give you a skin finish look. It is perfect for all occasions. I use this in light plus as i like the natural look and it glides over my foundation without giving a darker look. I use this with the MAC mineralize foundation. Sometimes this gives me a bit of a glowy look but once I've put this over it calms the glow and gives a more of a matte finish which i love!

Sorry about the picture I have used this ops! So this one has been used nearly everyday for about four months and I still have a lot left! Therefore not only is it wonderful it is also worth the money! To apply this i use my real techniques contour brush. I like using this brush to apply it because i feel i can get everywhere on my face with it. I then normally go over my makeup with a buffing brush or a blending brush, i don't all the time only if I am feeling it needs a slight more blend. Now the only bad point is that sometimes this does stick to my dry patches when I have had my makeup on all day. Overall this powder is one of a kind and it is definitely a must have for me! I would recommend this to anyone.
Price: £21:00 - a bit steep but it lasts for a long time!

Review: Rimmel London, Kate Moss lipstick

Sorry I haven't blogged in a few days, I wanted to review this lipstick because I do really love it but there are a few things that still keep it below MAC lipstick.

Now I think this lipstick is a top product for a high street price. For £5.49 you really can't go wrong. The packaging is nice and it is really up there with the high end lipsticks. I do only have one colour but there is plenty of colours to choose from and i have heard a lot of good things about the redish colours. This is definitely worth the money.

So I got this in the colour rossetto/rouge and that's number 16. Now it is a very pinkish colour and it's a more 'match your lips colour'. I mainly picked up this colour because I am a bit of a natural lip girl so i don't always like to be seen to have lipstick on. When i wear this it gives me that glow to my lips which i really like.  I also have really dry lips and I hate to put lipstick just straight on because i feel it just cracks with my lips and it looks terrible. So when I get up and start to get ready i put either a Nivea lip balm on or I sometimes use the Nivea lip butter in caramel. They are both good its just which ever is closest really. This gives my lips a chance to dehydrate and it really soothes my lips. Then after I am ready which could be anything between half an hour to an hour I then apply my lipstick and it goes on perfectly especially this one.

So the only downside with this lipstick is I feel the colour could be more pigmented. Now i did say i liked this colour because its very natural but if i do want to wear this on a night out or a day I am feeling bright I don't feel it gives me that. Although for the price it is fine, It also does have a slight sparkle to it when you add it to your lips which I do actually like. I also feel it tastes slightly like watermelon which is always a plus side! Now this is my favorite thing about this lipstick, It stays on even when you have had a drink. I've never really had a lip product like that before.
This lipstick is great value for money and I would recommend this to anyone!
Feel free to comment on my posts :) Id love to hear what you think!

Review: Urban Decay Naked 2

Here is a little review on the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette just because its my favorite ever! I realize that this is probably a 1 in a million review on the naked 2 palette but you can never read too my reviews right? :)

So this is what it looks like as many people will know. It also comes in a beautiful packaged box with a little lip gloss which i seem to have mis-placed. (I'm not a huge fan of lip glosses) I think urban decay eye shadow palettes are probably one of the best in the market at the minute. I have tried many different high street eye shadows and yes there are some very good ones but they all seem to react with my skin since my eyes are very sensitive to make-up. I haven't tried mac eye shadows but i'm sure i will give them ago at some point. Now i have to admit I have had this for a while now probably nearing on 9 month so i'm been bad reviewing something I have used so much ops! :)

Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK,  Busted,  Blackout
I've put the names underneath just in case you can't see them. As you can see they are all beautiful colours and all come within my colour style which is fairly nudey and plain just like me! Of course i do have my favorites but I think this palette offers you an all round everyday, going out look. You can mix and match them to make all sorts of different looks which is perfect. I feel like this is probably the only palette i use for all occasions. A lot of them are quite shimmery but there is a few matte ones as well. They are all very pigmented and with a base/primer they stay on all day and don't crease which is amazing. They don't irritate my skin like a lot of eye shadows which just says to me how top quality these are.

I decided to put three onto my hand just to show you. (sorry about the picture quality) Starting from the left, this one is half baked. I really enjoy using this colour it is sorta shimmery, i like to use this in the corner of my eye and blend it into the middle just to give a bit of brightest to the corner. The second colour is tease, now i use this practically everyday no matter what look i am going for. I absolutely love this colour it is a typical me colour which is a nice light brown. I like to blend this into the middle and then use this as a base to get darker on the end of my eye. (normally a smokey look) Lastly is busted which is one of the darkest colours in this palette. I have only started using this colour a bit more because of the darkest on my fair skin. If I use this it is probably only for a smokey eye affect and even then it is the tiniest amount. It is a beautiful colour though. They all blend so well in together unlike some high street eye shadows.

I do really enjoy this palette, when i bought it, I think it was around the £36 mark but i'm not sure of the price at this current date. I think this is an expensive palette and at first i did regret paying that much for it but once you get to know it I'd now say it is well worth the money! I would of liked a few more matte colours within this palette. Overall a lovely buy and i would definitely recommend to anyone who is really looking for an all in one palette.

6th june, first haul post

So today i did my monthly wish list shop, I got a few things that I have been after for a while so when i am happy with all of the reviews I have read then i go and buy them.

Starting from the left I got the Maybelline eye studio lasting drama gel eyeliner which is in 01 intense black. I am really looking for to trying this out on the top of my eye since I've just started wearing eyeliner on my top lid. I took the plunge and bought the real techniques core collection. So for a few years now I have been using my mam's old mac brushes and they are just getting old and yeah, so i decided to get some new brushes which i really needed. Then i decided to try out the MUA eye shadow palettes since I have heard a lot of good things about these. I liked this palette because they all weren't shimmery. I then of course got a little treat from mac and I decided to go with the MAC paint pots and this was in soft ochre which is a matte nudey colour which is just what i am looking for. I will most likely use this as a base for my eye shadow. Lastly i got a sleek contour kit in light purely because of all the amazing reviews on it. So yeah i'm sure I will do a few reviews on most of these products.

Review: Rimmel London blush

I have chosen to review this products because i don't feel its been given enough credit for how good it is! Its the Rimmel London, lasting finish soft colour blush. I have it in the colour 050 live pink. For me this was a bit of a wild card because i don't usually go for bright colours on my cheeks just because i don't feel i suit them, but it was definitely a good buy.

I realize the photo doesn't give this much justice but the colour is very pigmented and it is a matte style finish which is my perfect bush. With this blush is it very easy to add a light blush so it is a light pinkish or add a darker pinkish with slightly more on the brush which i think is great. I find this blush just has good as any mac blushers i have tried and i feel it stays on longer than a mac blusher (although i do still love mac blushers) I feel this is great for when you are having a busy day and don't really have time to reapply make up. I think the packaging is great but I think higher end make up does always beat a high street package but it is a small little box which is a perfect hand bag and travel size. I would love to have a look for some more colours in this as i would definitely purchase this again. The price of this is £3.99 which is amazing for the product and i haven't really got any bad points to say about it. Its an all round perfect blusher for everyday wear!
10/10 in my opinion!

There will probably be another post up today since i am going shopping today!
I will do my first ever haul post

Please feel free to give me any feedback!

My first review:

This is my first ever review, I've decided to review both foundations that i am currently using. For work and non important days i use Rimmel London wake me up, and for days i'm going out i use M.A.C mineralize foundation.

Rimmel's wake me up foundation is one in a million. I use the colour ivory (100). This is a perfect match for my skin tone as i am very fair. I have a dry to normal skin type and this foundation works amazing with it. It also has SPF 15 in which is great although my face would probably be better with a higher SPF. The name says it all, it gives you a beautiful glow to your face on a morning although it can be slightly shinny. I use my real techniques stippling brush to blend this foundation in which i think works really well. It blends amazing into your skin and just gives you such a glow. Although i do use a primer with this foundation as when i'm a bit hot at work it tends to stay on better (I work in a busy cafe). I'd say it gives a light/medium coverage although if you use more foundation it would probably give you more coverage but for work i tend to stick to a light coverage. I only use one big pump a day which i think is really good and it will last me for months! I think its a brilliant high street foundation and i would definitely purchase this again. I think this was about £6.99 when i got this but i think there was an offer on.

This is my going out foundation so i wear it most days. I think it is a really good foundation for my skin type because the mix does have moisturizer in it. I do really enjoy wearing this foundation just on its own. I find with a primer it slides of my face as the day goes on and i tend to have none left in the afternoon. This also has SPF 15 in it which is great. This foundation also gives a light to medium coverage but it can be topped up to a better coverage but i find that makes you look shinny. I would recommend this to anyone who has a fair skin colour and is looking for a more natural look. I also apply this with my real techniques stippling brush and i do use a bit more than one pump. In this i am NC 15 which is one colour down to what i would
normally be with mac products. I do like this foundation but i would be happy to look for another foundation after this bottle is finished. This was £24.00 when i bought it which is a bit pricey to other mac foundations but its definitely worth a go.

With these to foundations i do use a powder over the top, with the rimmel wake me up i use rimmel stay matte which is a lovely powder and that's in 001 transparent and with the mac mineralize i use mac mineralize skin finish. These two products work amazing together and i have that in light plus.

Thank you for reading feel free to give me any feedback i would love it!
